The Hyundai Elantra comes with several different drive trains. The base model has a continuously variable automatic transmission or a CVT. The standard trim is a four-cylinder with a 2.0-liter engine, which has an output of 147 horsepower. The next level is a GT hatchback with a stronger frame and engine, and it can produce up to 161 horsepower.

The Eco model puts out more efficiency with up to 41 mpg for the highway. The Elantra model offers 31 mpg. There are stronger, performance-driven engines with the Sport trim, which gets 201 horsepower with a turbocharged engine. The N-Line hatchback is another turbocharged engine that has a sportier look and style if you like this unique trim.
